Nice restaurant on Birdsfoot Lane, food was excellent as well as the service. We had table booked for 5ish so was early but quiet. Staff where friendly, I would say visit it. The restaurant is in the parade of shops, parking either at front if you can get a space or down sie road Dewsbury.

A great feature that sets Miraj Indian apart is the friendly service. On a recent visit, the staff went out of their way to make our experience enjoyable. Their knowledge of the menu and willingness to offer recommendations really made a difference. The waitstaff was attentive but not intrusive, allowing us to enjoy our meal at a leisurely pace.
As for the food, every dish seems to be prepared with care and quality ingredients. The starters are an excellent way to begin your meal. The samosas are a fan favorite-crispy on the outside and filled with spiced potatoes and peas that offer a perfect balance of flavors. If you're in the mood for something more substantial, the paneer tikka (a grilled Indian cheese marinated in spices) is a standout choice. It's packed with flavor and perfectly charred, making it a great dish to share or enjoy as your own.
Moving on to the mains, Miraj Indian truly shines with its curry offerings. The lamb rogan josh was tender and full of aromatic spices, and the butter chicken was a rich, creamy delight with just the right amount of sweetness. Vegetarians will also be pleased to find a variety of options, like the dal makhani and palak paneer, which are both hearty and comforting dishes that offer a wonderful taste of Indiaβs diverse cuisine.
For those who love a bit of heat in their food, the vindaloo is sure to satisfy. It has a fiery kick thatβs balanced by a deep, savory base, and is perfect for anyone looking to test their spice tolerance. On the other hand, if you prefer something milder, the chicken korma is a fantastic choice, offering a delicate coconut flavor thatβs rich but not overpowering.
Miraj Indian also offers a range of freshly baked naan breads to accompany your meal. The garlic naan, soft and warm, is a perfect match for scooping up the curry sauces. And donβt forget about their rice options-fluffy and perfectly cooked every time.
What adds to the charm of Miraj Indian is the warm and welcoming environment. The interior is clean, cozy, and tastefully decorated, making it a great spot for a casual meal with friends or a special night out with family. The restaurantβs atmosphere adds to the authentic Indian dining experience, making it feel like you're enjoying a meal right in the heart of India.

Me and my wife had the full English Breakfast. 100% brilliant. So fresh and on point. Definitely going back there
Just picked up my takeaway from these guys. The food was exceptional and the ambience inside the restaurant was fantastic. The staff were also very polite and friendly. Will be going back next time for a dine in experience with the family for sure!
This is our go to indian takeaway. Sadly in recent years the price has gone up a lot, above those of other indian takeaways, so we haven't had them as often. Whilst it's a nice token, u often get a free bottle of beer, but as I don't drink it's a waste and obviously at the end of the day it is included in the bill. Id prefer a cheaper bill. As a veggie it can be hit and miss on what veg u get in ur dish, last time it was mainly onion and potato, and we had a potato based side dish so not the best. Had a takeaway last night after a few months, the sauce for the massalla was a different colour, a very rich deep red, to the last few times and tasted exceptional and I was thrilled to have broccoli and French beans in mine. A really delicious meal.
I have ordered chicken Jalfrezi and Lamb Bhuna from this restaurant. Both dishes were very tasty, best curry I have had from any restaurant in Luton so far.
Had a late visit, but the staff were so welcoming. The food was really delicious. Highly recommended!
Had a meal yesterday food was lovely. Staff really do make it a comfortable dining..
We live in Texas but my husband is originally from Luton. The Miraj is our favorite curry restaurant when we are visiting my husband's family. The food is delicious, the restaurant is clean and the staff are lovely. Recently, I called the restaurant from Texas and asked if they would deliver a Gift Voucher to my in-laws for their 60th Wedding Anniversary. Mohammed was very kind and accommodating. The Gift Voucher was delivered as requested on the day of their anniversary. We are so grateful that they were able to assist us in doing this while we were so far away. Highly recommend this establishment!
